What is the PATTERN of your life? What will the “Cross-stitch” Masterpiece of the LIFE you have been working on “Look” like when you’re done? For that matter, “What” does it “Look” like NOW?!?!?
Well…if your not Sure… maybe you could take a “Cross-stitch” (ACROSSTIC) lesson and Truly gain some GUIDELINES with which you can begin the Creation of Your MASTERPIECE!!
Here are the BASICS ~
RULE #1 – Start with a CLEAN… NEW… and SPECIAL “Cloth”
- CLEAN – (Namely WHITE) Because it allows one to be able to Truly see the “Threads” with which you CREATE the “Colors” of your LIFE.
- NEW – Because if you tried to use the “Old” Cloth, you would First have to “Pull” out all of the OLD Stitching and secondly, because the “Old Fabric” will NEVER be as “Clean” as the NEW.
- SPECIAL – Because, just like each LIFE on this Planet, your MASTERPIECE is SPECIAL… In All the W.O.R.L.D., there is no ONE like you. As well, if you don’t use SPECIAL “Cross-Stitch FABRIC, it’s Impossible to COUNT, SEE, and UNDERSTAND how the “Pieces” of the PATTERN of your LIFE are “Supposed” to Fit Together.
RULE #2 – Find the CENTER of Your “Plain-Faced Cloth”
- This MID-POINT of the PATTERN of Your LIFE can be described as the Intersection of two vertices… where the X & Y axis of Your LIFE Intersect.
- What are the Two AXIS by which you PLOT The PATTERN of Your LIFE?
- For me, I determine the “Lay-Out” of my life based on the AXIS of my PHYSICAL and SPIRITUAL “Life.” They are the way in which I determine where “I’m going” in my LIFE.
- Where these TWO AXIS Intersect, I call the CENTER OF My LIFE. When I find My “Self” at this Intersection, I find it difficult to “Map-Out” my life… The CENTER keeps on Moving… I’m “Shifty!!” However, when I place God at the CENTER OF My LIFE, things STABALIZE and I am able to take ASSURANCE in My “Planning.”
RULE #3 – “MAP-OUT” the PLAN for Your MASTERPIECE ~ or ~ Allow the Plan to be MAPPED OUT for you!
- There is None among us that is PERFECT… and we will Certainly make MISTAKES if we Don’t have a PLAN.
- The CREATION of this MASTERPIECE is NOT in the HANDS of the “Artist.”
- The PLAN is laid out by the ARTIST of the World and left for “The Man in the Arena” to complete.
RULE #4 – WORK
- This MASTERPIECE could be completed by “Any One.” No “TALENT” is Truly NECESSARY! Just A LOT of HARD… PAINFUL… sometimes MONOTONOUS (But ALWAYS DISCPILINED) WORK!
- Once the PLAN is MAPPED OUT by the ARTIST, ALL that is REQUIRED of the “Crafter” is her/his WILL… COMMITMENT… FAITHFULLNESS… To FINISH The WORK!
- ANYONE “Could” do it… BUT… LIFE’S Greatest CONTRADICTION is that ONLY YOU can Create this MASTERPIECE
RULE #5 – DO NOT BE TEMPTED To “WORK AHEAD”
- The “Easiest” way of ASSURING that you WILL Make MISTAKES in “your” MASTERPIECE, is to skip ahead to outlying Sections and ATTEMPT to “WORK AHEAD!”
- No matter how CAREFUL you may be… How CONFIDENT you are that the OUTLYING Section is a “Part of the PLAN,” if you work ahead, You WILL Make MISTAKES (Your “Self” WILL Get in the way of God’s BEST!)
RULE #0 – TRUST THAT “SOMEONE” Has CREATED a PERFECT PATTERN for Your MASTERPIECE
- And THEN… FINISH IT!!
